How the daily challenge works
Each day, one of the seven tests is selected and its board is locked to the date. Everyone plays the exact same layout on any device, which is what makes the ranking a fair contest.
- What counts — Only your first completed run of the day enters the ranking. Later runs are practice: replaying a board you have already seen checks memory of the answer, not ability.
- Board rotation — A new board goes up at midnight (00:00) every day.
- Reaction time is excluded — A date-locked board would fix the signal timing for everyone, turning a reaction test into a timing-prediction game. So it never appears as the daily.
Leaderboard rules
- No sign-up — Finish the game, enter a nickname (up to 12 characters), and you are on the board right away.
- Duplicate nicknames — Submit again under the same name on the same day and only the better score stays.
- Public display — Your nickname and today's score are shown to all visitors. Submit nothing and nothing is shown.
- Midnight reset — The board clears at midnight every day. Yesterday's rankings are deleted for everyone.
Abuse prevention
A board without accounts could invite cheating, so the defense is built into the system. Scores no human can physically produce are rejected by the server. Nicknames with profanity or code fragments cannot be registered.
The daily reset is itself a deliberate defense. A permanent no-signup leaderboard always rots into faked records over time. This site therefore keeps no permanent board, and any abnormal entry disappears with its board within 24 hours.
FAQ
Why is there no sign-up?
Requiring no account, anywhere, is a principle of this site. A one-day board needs no identity — just a name to display.
What if my nickname matches someone else's?
You share the slot, and the better score of the day holds it. Use a name unlikely to overlap if you want the slot to yourself.
Where can I check yesterday's rankings?
You cannot. The board resets at midnight for everyone alike. The record that lasts is your personal history, saved in your browser on each test page.
Do I have to join the board?
No. Your daily result is saved to your personal records whether or not you join. The leaderboard is optional, and skipping it publishes nothing.
